“This approach to nutrition and weight management really works. It is presented in an easy to understand manner and the personal meetings with staff (thank you Sarah!) really personalize the program and offer much needed, continued support for great results.”

—Tom Cawley

“I must admit I was a little skeptical at first. I thought I had a pretty good bit of knowledge of making healthy eating choices, but I decided to give them a try as I was not getting the results are maintaining good energy levels on my own. I was pleasantly surprised! I have not had this much energy in a long time and I have had some success, finally, in losing some weight. You cannot do it on working out alone, at least I apparently could not. I highly recommend this team!”

—Pamela Walker

“Sarah from The Endurance Edge was fabulous when working with my 17 year old daughter. My daughter ( who is very much into fitness) asked me to look into someone who could help her gain more knowledge about food and how she can optimize her workouts along with generally eat better. Sarah did just that! They met over zoom for an hour and then met at a grocery store for an hour. It was awesome!”

FAQs:

What makes our nutrition counseling successful?

YOU do. If you’re committed to make a change in your health and fitness, you’re more likely to succeed! Healthy eating and behavior change doesn’t happen overnight. We expect that you work hard, communicate clearly, ask questions and commit to yourself. If you’re not ready to put in the work, then it’s not the right time.

Our expectations of you:

Our sessions are intended to benefit your health and fitness, but please understand that results vary based upon various factors, including body type, genetics, prior fitness level, sleep, stress, travel, and level of commitment.  Most importantly, you agree to:

  • Commit to yourself and take responsibility for your results;
  • Tell the truth: be honest with your dietitian and yourself, even if it is uncomfortable;
  • Show up on time, be prepared and take the proposed action after each session.

Our policies:

You are responsible for scheduling your sessions online via our portal or by calling (919)-230-7897. Sessions cancelled within 24 hours of the appointment time will be assessed a $35 charge. We require a credit card on file for co-pay billing.

We may call your insurance company to assist you in verifying coverage as a courtesy, but we cannot guarantee payment from them. Any charges denied by your insurance provider will be billed directly to the credit card stored on file. If you have questions or concerns, contact your insurance provider directly.

What insurance companies are you in-network with?

We are in-network for Blue Cross Blue Shield (no CMM plans).

Will my insurance policy cover nutritional counseling?

There are many different plans, and we cannot guarantee that your policy will cover nutrition counseling. It is your responsibility to call the member services number on the back of your card to verify your coverage before you schedule your appointment. If we submit a claim for nutrition counseling and your claim is denied, you will be required to pay the full rate.

Will I have a co-pay for a nutrition counseling appointment?

You might. Please ask your member service representative. If you do, we’ll collect your co-pay at the time of service.

Will I need a referral from my doctor for nutrition counseling?

That depends on the plan. Because there are many different plans, it is your responsibility to call the member services number on the back of your card to verify your coverage for nutrition counseling and find out whether you will need a referral from your doctor before you schedule your appointment.

Can I use my HSA or FSA account to pay for products and services at The Endurance Edge?

Generally speaking, HSA and FSA accounts are allowed for nutrition services, but NOT for supplements, metabolic testing, and sweat testing. We cannot guarantee our products and services are allowable under your HSA or FSA account. Contact your HSA or FSA account manager for more information. If you’s like to do one of our specialized nutrition programs that includes genetic testing, metabolic and/or sweat testing, please go to our Nutrition page here.
