Amber D’Angelo, RDN, LDN
Amber D’Angelo grew up in Illinois. She spent her childhood in the gym, practicing tumbling and gymnastics. In junior high, she joined a summer swim team and fell in love with competitive swimming. She had a successful high school swimming career and went on to swim at Bradley University. In high school, she realized how much nutrition and strength training impacted her performance in the pool. After struggling to find science based nutrition advice, she decided to study Food, Nutrition, and Dietetics in college. She developed a passion to help other athletes understand how proper fueling can enhance sports performance.
Amber relocated to Northwest Arkansas to work as a dietitian in the Walmart corporate fitness center. She became a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor. Amber currently works in the NWA community coaching performance and fitness nutrition, as well as strength training, to local youth and adult athletes.
Amber’s family is involved in the local NWA triathlon community. She is the assistant coach for the youth triathlon team and the nutrition and strength coach for the adult triathlon team. She has two sons that are on the youth triathlon team, and also participate in competitive gymnastics, baseball, and pole vault. They can be picky eaters and Amber has to continually come up with new, creative ways to make sure they are welled fueled for all of their sports!
