Carlie Frost-Poirier, MS
Carlie is from from rural Massachusetts, where she grew up playing a variety of sports before focusing on soccer. She later moved to North Carolina to pursue a degree in Exercise Science. Along the way, she developed an interest in the mind-body connection through psychology courses, which led her to study General Psychology as well. After graduating, Carlie relocated to Baltimore, Maryland, where she earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology and specialized in evaluating traumatic brain injuries.
While in Baltimore, without time for organized sports, Carlie turned to running, which eventually led her to train for a marathon and sparked her interest in triathlon. Today, she competes in triathlons of all distances and enjoys hiking and camping with her family.
Carlie’s coaching philosophy is rooted in a family-first approach, ensuring that her programs provide a balance between work, family, and sport. She believes that communication is key to creating a balanced and successful training plan, especially for athletes with busy schedules. Carlie uses creativity to optimize training efficiency, particularly for half and full Ironman triathletes and runners aiming to improve at the half and full marathon distances. Her ultimate goal is to help athletes reach their personal goals while gaining knowledge, building confidence, and having fun along the way.
